Arizona Herpetological Association

Chionactis occipitalis, aka the
Western Shovel-nosed Snake.

Who We Are

The Arizona Herpetological Association, a 501(c)(3) public charity, began in 1970 by a small group of like minded individuals interested in the conservation and preservation of Arizona's native reptiles and amphibians.

We now embrace all parties interested  in the herpetological community including those who enjoy field herping, those with pet reptiles and amphibians,  as well as academics, scientists, and government agencies that are interested in educating the public in conserving and protecting the reptiles and amphibians of Arizona.
